Irrigation Association Announces 2024 Scholarship Winners

To continue to grow the industry, Irrigation Association's annual scholarships were designed to help the future of irrigation.

The Irrigation Association (IA) recently announced the recipients of the 2024 Anthony W. LaFetra Scholarship Program. Sponsored by Rain Bird, the $1,000 to $3,000 scholarships are handed out to college students that are pursuing careers in the irrigation field.

The program was developed as a way to promote the study of and careers in the irrigation field based on the student's letter of intent, financial need, reference letters, resume, and the list of irrigation-related courses taken or enrolled in.

Award winners include, graduate student at Brigham Young University, Ashley Beazer, undergraduate student at Brigham Young University, Joseph Daniels, undergraduate student at CT State Community College Three Rivers, Baylee Gagnier, undergraduate student at Michigan State University, East Lansing, Nathan Hawks, undergraduate student at Texas A&M University, College Station, Lauren Kasel, undergraduate student at College at DuPage, Luis Mazariegos, undergraduate student at Ohio State University, Jake Miller, and undergraduate student at Oklahoma State University, Anthony Scarpitti.
