The Irrigation Association (IA) is delighted to introduce Alan Ence, QWEL, as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Ence, currently the General Manager of Landscape and Agriculture at Hydro-Rain, brings a wealth of knowledge gained from over 30 years in the irrigation industry.

 
Ence's extensive career spans various facets of the industry, including product development, business expansion, and management. He holds multiple U.S. patents for irrigation-related products and earned his certification as a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper in California in 2022.

Having collaborated with irrigation and water professionals across the spectrum, from landscape contractors and architects to water managers and distributors, Ence possesses a unique perspective on the industry. He is enthusiastic about leveraging his experience to expand IA's programs, education, and influence throughout the sector.

"I have seen where there is much opportunity for spreading the IA's programs, education, and influence to positively benefit all levels of the industry," said Ence. "Being an effective advocate for the IA to these industry channels to help the whole community is motivating to me."
