The STIHL AK system was put through a commercial landscaping level of tests, even though the tools are designed for residential use.

The American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA) announced that they have added the STIHL AK System of electric landscaping equipment to the AGZA Field Tested Certified (AFTC) lineup of tools. The testing included a robust process of heavy battery usage and charging in hot environments as well as user feedback and commercial testing.

Thought the STIHL AK System is designed for homeowners, AGZA used their extensive network of commercial landscaping professionals to push these tools to their limits. AGZA states that their list of priorities in order is safety, then durability, and finally reliability.

Dan Mabe, president of the AGZA, remarked on their longstanding relationship with STIHL, "AGZA's independent relationship with STIHL Inc. goes back over a decade, placing heavy torturous hours on STIHL 36V, AP battery-powered commercial tools. Despite that history, we had to approach the AK System completely separate of the AP System. AGZA is pleased with the outcome and looks forward to sharing our findings and testing feedback with our alliance members and the public."
