AASHTO Moves Annual Meeting Online

Will Start on November 9th

Department of transportation officials from all over the country will be attending this virtual conference which will include a series of industry relevant sessions.

A recent announcement made by AASHTO communicated the transition of their originally planned 2020 annual meeting to a virtual alteration. What was initially scheduled to take place in Baltimore, MD, on November 4th through 8th has now been rescheduled to start on the 9th and finish on the 13th of the same month. The meeting will see a collection of state department of transportation leaders, federal transportation officials, and industry professionals gather to discuss relevant and essential topics facing the industry.

The announcement briefly described how the changes might look going forward, "AASHTO said many of the sessions typically associated with a yearly in-person conference will continue virtually, including get-togethers for the Council on Highways and Streets, the Transportation Policy Forum, and the Board of Directors, among many others."

Furthermore, the association communicated that the meeting would feature sessions led by guest speakers and their awards presentations. The courses are said to discuss a "robust series of knowledge sessions covering some of the most important topics facing state DOTs and the transportation industry."

Updates such as registration and session schedule will be shared as they are announced.
