New York Chapters Announce 2026 Joint Awards Program
by Keziah Olsen, LASN

The High Line - Moynihan Connector - a project by landscape architecture firm Field Operations and multidisciplinary firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill that was featured in LASN's December 2025 Issue - received the 2024 Merit Award in the Structures category.

Open to Landscape Architects and Architects alike, the 2026 AIANY + ASLANY Transportation and Infrastructure Design Excellence Awards will recognize the public work done by both disciplines. All registered Landscape Architects, Architects, and Planners are invited to submit, as well as any enrolled students or recent graduates of an accredited landscape architecture, architecture, or planning program in the United States. Submissions are due Friday, February 27, at 5:00 p.m. EST.

As the sixth such collaboration between the two associations since 2018, this biennial program provides an event to highlight the places where the practitioners of architecture in structures and landscapes jointly contribute to facilitating community development and connectivity.
