One year into Vision Zero Columbus, the city is already reaping the benefits of efforts to improve safety along major streets. The project's main portion transformed six vehicle lanes into four vehicle lanes and two protected bike lanes. NACTO reported that excessive speeding fell by 89%, car crashes were reduced by 54%, no bike or scooter crashes were reported, and active transportation trips surpassed 12,000 since May of this year.
