The U.S. Department of Transportation announced $1.8 billion in RAISE Grants, increasing the total funding from this program to $7.2 billion.

The U.S. Department of Transportation has announced $1.8 billion in Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) grants to 148 transportation projects nationwide. U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg revealed the latest funding allocation, which includes 19 projects managed by state departments of transportation. This brings the total RAISE grants to over $7.2 billion for more than 550 projects since the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) was enacted.
"After decades of underinvestment, the condition of America's infrastructure is now finally getting better instead of worse - and today we proudly announce our support for 148 more projects in communities of every size across the country," Buttigieg announced.
