Precipitation levels for the month of May have been estimated at 15 to 20 inches in northern Massachusetts and Maine coastal areas. There is significant clean-up from flooded sites and challenge in mowing. Many sites have not seen a mower in 5 days so growth is extensive. The cool wet weather has led to the expected cool season diseases including cool season brown patch, red thread, red patch, fusarium etc. We needed the rain but enough is enough. Better now than July.
