TEMPE, Ariz. ?EUR??,,????'??? The Arizona Department of Agriculture is currently dealing with its first detection of glassy-winged sharpshooter infestation at an Arizona nursery. The glassy-winged sharpshooter feeds on a variety of ornamental and crop plants including azaleas, bougainvillea, boxwood, citrus, elm, gardenia, grape and oleander. The distribution for the sharpshooter is mainly in Texas, Florida and California. David Madison, ADA?EUR??,,????'???s Quarantine and Nursery Program Manager said that ADA has developed a treatment protocol to deal with the current infestation. ?EUR??,,????'??By intensively monitoring and treating, we will be able to confirm the outcome of the eradication effort,?EUR??,,????'?? he said.
