Ruppert Landscape is proud to announce that the Crystal City project in Crystal City, VA, Janelia Farm Research Campus in Loudoun County, VA and Urbana Highlands in Urbana, MD have been recognized for excellence by leaders in the green industry.
The projects received awards from the Landscape Contractors Association (LCA) in their Excellence in Landscape competition and the Professional Landcare Network's (PLANET) 40th Annual Environmental Improvement Awards Program.
The Crystal City project, which received a Grand Award from both LCA and PLANET in the commercial landscape management category, is a 21 square block area made up of 19 separate building and is located just east of Pentagon City.
The Janelia Farm Research Campus, which received a Distinction Award from LCA and a Grand Award from PLANET in the commercial landscape installation category, is a world-class biomedical research facility for the world-renowned Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
Urbana Highlands, which received a Distinction Award from both LCA and PLANET in the commercial landscape management category, is a master planned community located near Frederick, Maryland.
Both awards programs are judged by leading landscape professionals and recognize exceptional design, installation, and maintenance in both residential and commercial categories. Awards are given to landscaping professionals who execute superior projects and are committed to creating and preserving the beauty of the landscape. These programs strive to increase public awareness of environment improvement and encourage the consistent use of quality materials and workmanship.
Ruppert Landscape provides commercial landscape construction and management in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina from 11 branch offices. In addition, the company operates a 475-acre wholesale tree nursery specializing in large tree growing and moving in Montgomery County, Md.
