Developed through the efforts of RECP manufacturers, the specification documents manufacturer-recommended methods for the construction and installation of RECPs to control erosion and enhance vegetation establishment and survivability on slopes and channels. The specification is available for download from the ECTC website, www.ectc.org. ?EUR??,,????'??We are thrilled to be able to offer a standard specification for this industry,?EUR??,,????'?? said Laurie Honningford, ECTC executive director. ?EUR??,,????'??Now, contractors can receive a manufacturer?EUR??,,????'???s written certification stating that the finished RECP meets or exceeds all requirements of specification.?EUR??,,????'?? According to Honningford, the specification applies to both temporary RECPs (applications where natural vegetation alone will provide sufficient permanent erosion protection) and permanent RECPs (applications where natural vegetation alone won?EUR??,,????'???t provide sufficient long-term erosion).
