Residential Project, Middlenury, IN

Submission by Mark Linton & Linton's Enchanted Gardens
by Staff

The residence took over a year to design by Mark Linton, and almost two years for the installation. The project includes many hardscapes, including elaborate native boulder terracing, heated paver sidewalks and patios, an extensive outdoor landscape lighting
system, irrigation and includes both specimen trees and shrubs. A custom water feature is the focal point as the homeowners and their guests walk up to the front entrance and are greeted by the sound of falling waters. The estate was designed to be perched upon the highest point of the acreage for maximizing the views and is tucked into a grove of 200 year old oak trees. Linton's Enchanted

Gardens is also responsible for maintaining the site twelve months a year. The owners continue to enjoy their landscape so much
that the project isn't really ever finished, and the Linton team is constantly adding additional elements to further enhance the beauty of the estate located in Middlebury Indiana.

The upcoming Custom Residential Issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News saw many firms submit their projects for feature consideration. This project was not chosen for a Feature in the issue, but we at LandscapeArchitect.com thought the project deserved to be showcased online . . .
