She will discuss what insects and diseases they are specifically resistant to and tree species that should no longer be planted due to their invasive characteristics negatively impacting the health of surrounding plants. The presenter will demonstrate how to use selectree.org, WUCOLS, and calscape.org search engines to identify other tree species suitable for a wide variety of climates and microclimates.
