RBI Changes Name

LITTLETON, Colo. - Randall & Blake Inc. (RBI) recently announced that the company will be known as American Civil Constructors, Inc. Along with the name change comes a new blue and gray logo, which replaces the lime green and white trucks that have populated the highways of the Western United States for 27 years.

The name and logo change was brought about to unify the seven different identities that were created as a result of a merger in 1999 between RBI and San Francisco-based West Coast Bridge, creating American Civil Constructors, Inc. and subsequent acquisitions of Pavement Specialists, Inc. and Jack Nursery. With more than 1,300 employees and 500 trucks on the road representing seven separate identities, the company felt it needed to create one solid image.

"It became apparent to us that relating all of our services back to one brand was overwhelming," explained Rick Randall, president and founderof RBI. "Furthermore, the consolidated identity allows our employees to fully comprehend the great company they are a part of." Randall and Dave Ricciatiello of West Coast Bridge will continue to head up the company along with the support of CEO Bill Yearsley, previously of Western Mobil. Despite the changes, the services offered by the company, which include landscape construction, will remain the same.
