Putting Job Quoting Software in Closer Reach

License fees, support costs and waiting weeks or months to see return on investment have been cited as reasons that small- to mid-sized contractors do not implement business management software packages. One provider is attempting to dispose of those barriers to entry.

Responding to an observed frustration that contractors experience when trying to discern the true cost of estimating, quoting, and sales software, the developer of one such solution has simplified their pricing model.

Targeting small- to mid-sized contractors with limited staff, JobFLEX now offers their Basic and Pro plans on a monthly basis without an upfront investment, additional support costs and license fees.

The software includes an online portal and a mobile app, and lets contractors efficiently create professional estimates in the field that a customer can sign on the spot. Once a contractor's material/pricing list, logo and terms and conditions are uploaded, the app is ready to use. The digital process facilitates better quote tracking and can lead to higher quote volumes.

"With the current industry climate and labor shortage, small to mid-sized businesses often don't have the manpower to generate the number of quotes necessary to stay profitable, nor do they have the ability to invest a large sum of money in software up-front," said JobFLEX CEO/president Kim Phillipi. "The new pricing structure allows them to purchase the software with a small monthly payment, simplify and speed their quoting process, resulting in increased revenues."
