First Editions® Eternal Sunshine™ Abelia puts on a color changing show throughout the season. The new foliage starts out a brilliant bronze, transitions to yellow, then matures to a striking emerald green.

Blush-pink flowers cover the plant in early spring attracting butterflies. Since Eternal Sunshine blooms on new growth, a quick pruning encourages new flowers to appear.

Developed by Dr. Michael Dirr and Plant Introductions, Inc., this new Abelia keeps its upright, mounded shape. You can count on Eternal Sunshine to provide beautiful foliage even in the heat, as it won't burn like many garden shrubs.

Abelia x grandiflora grows in full sunlight in Zones 6 – 9, from heights of 2 to 3 feet. Its shape is mounding and the foliage comes in bronze, yellow and green with fall foliage of semi-evergreen. The shrub spreads from 4 to 6 feet, with pink flowers.
