OSHA Hot Weather Tips

According to OSHA, the combination of heat, humidity and physical labor can lead to two of the most serious forms of heat related illnesses?EUR??,,????'??+heat exhaustion (primarily from dehydration) and heat stroke, which could be fatal. Signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke need immediate attention. Recognizing those warning signs and taking quick action could prevent a fatality. Heat stroke signs include mental confusion, delirium, loss of consciousness, convulsions or coma, body temperatures of 106 degrees F or higher, and hot dry skin which may be red, mottled or bluish. Signs of heat exhaustion include weakness or fatigue, giddiness, nausea, headache or clammy skin.
