The survey shows that 84% of adults support their local park and recreation agency in taking on or continuing their environmental or natural disaster prevention methods.

Meanwhile, 62% of adults support conservation or restoration of habitats including coastlines, wetlands, and forests. Furthermore, three in five adults support agencies taking steps to continue or increase restoration of these public spaces to assist in major flood event prevent.

"For years, parks and recreation has been a leader in conservation and sustainable measures," said NRPA senior research manager, Melissa May. "As demonstrated by the results from this month's survey, public support is high for their local park and recreation agencies commitment to finding ways to fight climate change."
