In business in Denver for almost 70 years, Swingle Lawn, Tree & Landscape Care became the majority owner of Oklahoma-based LawnAmerica in a merger of the two companies. The new minority partner employs almost 60 people and has a presence in Tulsa and Oklahoma City as well as in portions of North Carolina and South Carolina. LawnAmerica founder Brad Johnson cited a need to continue to grow and prosper as the reason for the merger with Swingle, which services the Front Range of Colorado and has annual revenues in excess of $20 million.

Finding a strong construction market existing in Sacramento, San Jose-based Jensen Landscape opened a new construction branch there and appointed Matt Trenary as the manager of it. Jensen is part of private equity-backed Monarch Landscape Holdings, which is among the top 20 largest commercial landscape firms nationally with revenues exceeding $80 million and more than 1,000 employees across four states. Its holdings also include Northwest Landscape Services and Signature Landscape Services, both in the Pacific Northwest. Landscape projects currently being evaluated in Sacramento include those in both the public and private sector.
