Construction Underway

IRVINGTON, NY

Construction has started on a new 12-acre waterfront park overlooking the Hudson River in Irvington, NY. The $6.2 million project is being built on the site of a former lumber yard, requiring the remediation of contaminated soils.

The new park will give residents of Irvington and Westchester County additional river access not currently available. The park will include several ballfields, a senior citizens center, an esplanade, a non-motorized boat launch ramp, and various parking facilities. Construction of the park is scheduled for completion in spring 2001.
