The Chandler Company recently provided 57 planters for the newest, award-winning parking structure at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Planter types included Contemporary Rectangles, Argentina Round, Contemporary Square, and Parking Structure Planters. All planters were dark gray with a smooth finish. The four-level sustainable parking lot received the Award of Merit from the International Parking and Mobility Institute. Located several blocks from the airport at 6100 W. 94th St., it features 4,300 parking stalls, the lowest LAX parking rates, a free shuttle bus, and guaranteed space with pre-booking.

 

The new parking structure was a design-build project that was designed by Watry Design and Gensler and was constructed by Swinerton. In addition to the planters, the project included several new features including a meet and greet space, public restrooms, vending machines, pet relief area, and water bottle filling station.
