Among the strategies established to improve the energy status of N.J., one of the most recent actions took place on September 17 when the NJBPU approved the mandate to open an application window for offshore wind capacity for 1.1 GW, which is the largest single-state offshore wind solicitation according to the public utilities board. Developers will be able to submit applications to build offshore wind facilities in federal waters, with an application deadline of December 28.
