Netafim USA and Tucor, Inc. have formalized a strategic alliance agreement in which Tucor will develop new web-based smart control systems for Netafim's Landscape Division. The announcement was made by Mauricio Troche, Netafim director of sales and marketing for landscape and turf products.

The innovative systems will include controllers with multi-function capabilities, including conventional, two-wire (decoder) and hybrid operation. The controllers will be applicable to new and retrofit installations.

"Netafim's new controller product line will give landscape and irrigation contractors the opportunity to install a complete Netafim irrigation system from Techline???(R)???AE???? tubing to filters, regulators, valves, meters, and now, state-of-the-art controllers," said Troche. "This partnership between two well-established brands guarantees product reliability and new system flexibility."

Tucor, a well-known name in two-wire systems, has produced a line of smart controllers since 1995. The company was among the first to introduce two-wire technology to the U.S. from Europe. Tucor also manufactures conventional multi-wire controllers.
