According to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), there is an ongoing skilled labor shortage in the construction industry that have been directly affecting housing affordability. As a strategy to solve the problem, the NAHB is hosting the Professional Women in Building Week (PWB) that is designed to promote women and underrepresented workers as potential hires to the building field.

 

The NAHB hosted an online shop talk today that is meant to help construction business leaders in hiring women and increasing diversity for their companies. Dr. Charner Rodgers, vice chair of the NAHB Student Chapters Advisory Board is one of the speakers that will share the beneficial things that can come with increasing diversity in the workplace.
