More rubberized asphalt (crumb rubber from old tires mixed with regular asphalt) is coming to Perry County, Ind., thanks to a $15,045 grant from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. The grant follows up on last year?EUR??,,????'???s successful pilot project that included a rubber-asphalt mix track for Tell City High School and the same rubbery paving for a district solid waste drop-off center. The pilot project reports the surfacing is proving more durable and flexible than regular asphalt, while resisting cracking and the formation of potholes. A road leading to the community?EUR??,,????'???s sewage-pump station will also soon get ?EUR??,,????'??rubberized.?EUR??,,????'??
