LHB coordinated the construction waste management process, resulting in over 1,000 cubic yards of on-site construction waste being diverted from the landfill. LSC will be holding a LEED certification plaque presentation ceremony with representatives from LHB and MnSCU on Monday, September 13, at 2:30 p.m. The ceremony is open to the public and will take place in the lobby of LSC?EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR?s Academic and Student Services. The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification program administered by the U.S. Green Building Council is a widely adopted standard for sustainable building design. The rating system takes into account building performance in five areas: energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, materials selection, sustainable site development, and water savings.
