The project involves designs for Bluff Lake Nature Center, a 123-acre open space between the Denver and Aurora communities that serves as the home for plants and animals native to the High Plains ecosystems of Colorado. According to Superbloom, the project at Denver's only nonprofit nature center will involve community input, with the intent to "expand equitable access to nature in Denver, while being a model for ecological and resilient design in a dynamic and visceral way."
UNM student Jeffrey Coons also received the First Prize Student Award in Landscape Architecture for Starscape, a nature walk in Gallup, NM that aims to provide protected spaces for visitors to safely appreciate the New Mexico night sky.
