The Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) has announced their 2023 Case Study Investigation (CSI) program for 2023. The program provides a way for faculty, students, and practitioners to undergo research collaboration and training. The LAF funds faculty-student research teams that work with designers to document the impact of the best performing landscape projects.

 

The concept is to develop methods of quantifying the range of environmental, social, and economic effects that an exemplary landscape can provide for a community. These will be presented as Case Study Briefs for LAF's Landscape Performance Series.

The 2023 CSI Program starts in February and ends in August. The projects will be evaluated and documented by Research Fellows each of which will have a student Research Assistant. The LAF will provide support in the way of funding for the assistant as well as training, supporting materials, and feedback as the academic teams work with design firm liaisons to study their projects.
