The 24th International Trails Symposium (ITS) and Training Institute is an international gathering of enthusiasts and professionals who collaborate to enhance trails. The symposium has interactive workshops, a state-of-the-art exhibit hall, sessions discussing trail issues and presentations from national and international speakers. In partnership with the Professional TrailBuilders Association (PTBA), the institute offers various workshops and sessions, as well as APA, ASLA and NRPA CEU equivalency. ITS encourages those who are interested in showcasing their projects and services to sign up for a booth as an exhibitor. To save 20%, sign up by August 1.The ITS is also hosting the 2019 Hulet Hornbeck Emerging Leaders Scholarship Program (https://www.americantrails.org/symposium/2019-emerging-leaders-scholarship-program) at the symposium. Here, 16 young adults will have the opportunity to learn and gain advice from professionals in the trails sector. Each emerging leader receives a scholarship totaling $2,500, which covers the cost of registration, airfare, lodging and meals. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is October 15. The symposium will take place in Syracuse, New York from April 28 - May 1, 2019.
