IECA Honors Environmental Excellence The Antelope Commons Project, constructed wetlands in Lincoln, NE, was recently honored for excellence in natural resource conservation. The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District received the 1996 Environmental Achievement Award from the International Erosion Control Association. Describing how the wetlands dramatically improve downstream water clarity and the surrounding residential quality of life, Projects Coordinator Andy Bailey enthuses: "the city has actually urbanized around it as a city park."
