ORLANDO, FLA. ?EUR??,,????'??? The International Erosion Control Association announced the winners of their Awards of Environmental Excellence at the IECA annual conference held in Orlando, Fla. The Environmental Award of Distinction went to China Vetiver Network/Institute of Soil Science for National Vetiver & Agroforestry for Erosion Control, Slope Stabilization, & Civil Construction Proctection in China. The Environmental Achievement Grand Award was presented to Centre for Water Resources Studies, Dalhoise University. Lewis Soil Conservation District received the Excellence in Technology Award for the Culver Outlet Installation. An Excellence in Technology Award also went to Cemrock Landscape, Inc. for Monterey Coastal Restoration & Stabilization. The Sustained Contributor Award was presented to Professor Wang Lixian for the Department of Soil and Water Conservation, Beijing Forestry University. Environmental Quality Resources, LLC was presented with the Contractor of the Year Award, while the Most Distinguished Technical Paper was given to Francis Amponsah-Docasta for the Effects of Wind on the Surfaces of Mine Tailings Dam.
