IAHP Looking for Seminar Presenters

The Certified Hydroseeding Professional designation requires 40 hours of instruction, 2 years of hydroseeding experience and successful completion of an online certification exam. The required instruction is spread over five disciplines: basic hydroseeding, business operations, soil and fertility basics, turfgrass science, and erosion control.

To help expand its Certified Hydroseeding Professional program, the International Association of Hydroseeding Professionals is actively seeking qualified presenters in the areas of basic hydroseeding, erosion control, turfgrass science, soil & fertility, and business operations.

All CHP seminars are conducted online, are one hour in length, and are available to anyone in the hydroseeding field. Industry specialists, university professors, industry suppliers and manufacturers are encouraged to lend their expertise to CHP participants.

The IAHP offers its CHP seminars from November through March. Each one-hour seminar is $20 for members and $30 for non-members. Registration is limited to 15 participants and they need not be certification candidates.

Most seminars are presented Monday through Thursday evenings to be convenient for contractors. Participants have the ability to ask questions and to discuss concepts, techniques and ideas. All that's required to take part in a seminar is Internet access and a phone.

For more information on becoming a seminar presenter, contact Jennifer Redick at (412) 241-2340, or hydroseedingassoc@yahoo.com . To register for CHP seminars, visit the IAHP's website. (Online Seminar Registration )
