Beneficial Insect Webinar with UC IPM Director, Karey Windbiel-Rojas by Staff
On September 28th, Karey Windbiel-Rojas, Associate Director for Urban and Community IPM and Area Urban IPM Advisor with UC IPM, presented a live and recorded webinar titled "Good Bugs and Biological Control in the Landscape" which discussed the concept of integrated pest management (IPM), the life stages of good bugs or biocontrol. Windbiel-Rojas explained biological control and gave examples of pests and bugs. She included many examples that one may come across and how to manage them. Attendees learned about generalist and specialist predators and their classifications. Using IPM was determined as a great way to manage pests.
