Theodore J. Wirth graduated Iowa State University in 1950. He has worked diligently all over the landscaping field and has specialized in park design and planning. He has been very successful in this over the years and has received numerous awards as an accolade for his impressive career. Such awards include the Certificate of Merit from the American Association of Nurserymen in 1965 and the Landscape Award from the American Association of Nurserymen in 1977. This lead to his induction as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1978.
