Her commitment to sustainable practices and respect for the culture and character of each project are evident in her designs for museums, parks, and botanic gardens. Her work on the National Mall and for the Smithsonian includes the sensitively interpreted native landscape surrounding the National Museum of the American Indian. Her work also encompasses traditional educational settings such as K through 12 schools and university campuses. She developed master plans for American University, the Catholic University of America, and George Washington University's Mount Vernon Campus. She understands how to make a place real, resonant, and memorable.
