Most notable professional accomplishments: I would say my most significant accomplishment has been in the design and promotion of low impact development (LID) strategies. This has been the most important work of my career - an area of expertise that I believe landscape architects are uniquely qualified to undertake. As a landscape architect and city planner, I have had the opportunity to consult with communities throughout the Puget Sound basin, identifying ways to remove barriers to LID implementation and promoting sustainability through public policy and completed projects. I am also proud of my many years of service to the Washington Chapter of ASLA and of my countless hours of volunteering on numerous local, regional and state boards and commissions.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows: Becoming a Fellow means the world to me as this is the highest honor bestowed by our profession. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to work with a number outstanding men and women in our profession - Dirk Jongejan, Dave McNeal, Terry Gerrard, Kenichi Nakano, Bob Perron, Richard Haag, Robert Woerner and Becca Hansen, to name a few, all of whom are Fellows. All have had a profound, positive impact on my life through their example, encouragement and inspiration. I am deeply honored to be considered worthy to sit with them on the Council of Fellows.
