Most notable professional accomplishments: Even though I have had the opportunity to participate in many large and significant landscape architecture projects in the area over the past 26 years, I cherish the design concepts and technical assistance that I have been able to share with students while teaching at OSU- OKC for 15 years and the countless number of grassroots community enhancement projects that I assist with on a daily basis through the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Introducing the concept of horticulture therapy and sustainable design to The Children?EUR??,,????'???s Center, a long-term pediatric hospital for very medically fragile children, has been very rewarding to me. Helping neighborhoods renovate public open areas and parks into viable and sustainable community assets is equally as rewarding. Over the years I have learned that good people want to do good things but often all they are lacking is some of the technical direction that will make their project exceptional. I am honored to have been given the opportunity to help provide this assistance to so many people, neighborhoods, and organizations.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows: Being nominated by other landscape architects from the Oklahoma Chapter was a tremendous honor and then being selected as an ASLA fellow was a humbling feeling. I have given the majority of my professional life sharing my knowledge of our profession while serving on the State Board, teaching, speaking at public events, and on the radio program and am honored that my peers and other professionals would recognize my efforts as worthy of fellow nomination and selection. I chose a professional path of serving others through landscape architecture early in my career and have never regretted on day of it. I truly believe that what we do within our profession has a profound impact on our communities, our country and our world and that grassroots awareness and success is a very important cornerstone to a healthy and thriving community.
