Most notable professional accomplishments:

In my career, I have been very fortunate to be associated with so many significant projects. I joined HOK in 1987 and have been a part of the design team for most of our large venues. Because the work often requires a large design team with members from other firms, my most notable professional accomplishments are both as a lead designer and design facilitator. If I had to select a single project, probably the most notable experience was working on the Master Plan for Camden Yards in Baltimore. Camden Yards redefined the concept for sports venues and their relationship to the city. As the lead urban designer with HOK, I continued to collaborate with Wallace, Roberts, and Todd for the next ten years, providing urban design and planning for Ravens Stadium and the light rail station, also in Baltimore. However, I feel my most significant accomplishment has been demonstrating the value of our profession to the civic and architectural design communities.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows: Election as a Fellow is the most significant honor of my career. I sincerely hope my passion for the profession and commitment to excellence in the built environment is evident in my body of work. I am grateful to those who nominated me for the Fellowship. I owe thanks to those who inspire me and taught me the value of seeing the world around me as a canvas for what can be achieved. I also owe a debt of gratitude to my colleagues and collaborators over the years, as this fellowship recognizes their contribution both to my career and the world around us.
