He was awarded the ASLA Merit Award from Louisiana RRMC Women's Hospital in 1993 and the ASLA Honor Award from Louisiana Southern Trace Golf & Residential Community in 1991. This led to his induction as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1994.
