Eric Maydew Named STMA Business Development Manager

The Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA) www.stma.org, whose 2,600 members in 34 chapters oversee sports fields and facilities at schools, colleges, universities, parks, recreational facilities and professional sports stadia, announces Eric Maydew as its new business development manager.

Maydew's responsibilities will include managing commercial partner relationships, public relations, membership growth and retention, social media, and conference / trade show support.

As a former marketing associate at Prairie Band Casino and Resort in Mayetta, Kansa, Maydew is credited with 17 percent growth in 2013 revenue there, and an additional 9 percent uptick in 2014. Maydew has a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Business Management.

"I am confident Eric's business expertise will advance STMA's leadership in the industry," said STMA CEO Kim Heck.

Maydew's sports background includes playing a year of unaffiliated professional baseball for the Yuma Scorpions in Yuma, Ariz.
