DuPont, Syngenta Share Technology

 

Under the agreement, Swiss agrochemical company Syngenta will also grant DuPont access to mesotrione, the active ingredient in Callisto, a post-emergence corn herbicide.

DuPont Co. and Syngenta AG in June agreed to a crop protection technology exchange.

The companies said they will shares the costs to prepare the regulatory studies for DuPont’s new insecticide, Cyazypyr.

While this agreement focuses on the agricultural sector, it could open doors to collaboration between the two chemical companies in the turf & ornamental market.
