People love their dogs. Getting them enough exercise used to be a problem, but with the vast emergence of dog parks across the country, people can go and unleash their canines and sit back and watch them play with their doggy friends.
Landscape architects are getting involved in dog park design. Take the Carver County, Minn. park commission, which meets Feb. 9, 2005 to discuss design ideas for a proposed 20 acre off-leash dog area at Lake Minnewashta regional park. A rep from ROMP will be there (Responsible Owners of Mannerly Pets) to give a presentation. Also on hand will be a rep from the commission's landscape architect firm. The dog park funding will be about $40,000.
