The owners live their evenings in the rear yard, cooking, eating, and warming by the spa and fireplace around a "broken" circle designed to remind one of California's geology. A large slate wall spills forth with water into a pebbled basin. At the end of the garden, a large iron "torii bell" hangs, waiting to be rung. Cacti, Aloes, Euphorbias, Phormiums, Aeoniums and other succulents stand out against softer grasses, Lantana, Bougainvillea and select perennials.

Founded in 1982, giving it 37 years in business, the principal of the firm is David W. Reed, RLA #1962. The company has six employees and its focus is from public parks and plazas to unique and custom gardens of all types. They also have experience with sensitive environmental and habitat restoration projects, urban streetscapes and pipeline projects.
