According to a national law journal survey of over 200 corporate lawyers, two-thirds acknowledged their companies have operated at times in violation of environmental laws. Though most felt that investment in environmentally sound practices and products will improve profitability over the long run, only 30 percent believed that full compliance with the matrix of federal and state environmental laws was possible.
