The Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) recently reported on the role of 5G networks in driving U.S. economic growth and maintaining global competitiveness. According to their findings, investments in 5G infrastructure - averaging $54 billion annually - are enhancing industries like manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, and transportation through innovations such as precision agriculture, automated production, and telemedicine. Licensed mid-band spectrum is critical to sustaining this progress, enabling faster, more efficient processes and boosting industrial productivity. As global competitors like China rapidly expand their 5G capabilities, U.S. policymakers must allocate additional licensed spectrum in the lower 3 GHz and 7/8 GHz bands to support innovation and retain wireless leadership. tinyurl.com/CTIA-2024
