The thirteenth annual Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA) 2019 conference will be help at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento, Calif., on March 6-9.The last day to register to attend is March 1, 2019 and it costs $580 for CELA members to attend all three days or $195 for a one-day pass. Students can register to attend the entire conference for only $225, while nonmembers only have the option to purchase a $750 pass for the whole conference.This year's theme is Engaged Scholarship and the conference will include paper and poster presentations, a keynote speaker, panel discussions, interactive sessions and tours of "the eco-neighborhood of Village Homes and the Davis bike path system..."The keynote speaker scheduled for the conference is Timothy Eatman, Ph.D., a publically engaged scholar and the Inaugural Dean at Rutgers University. Shawn Kelly, ASLA current president, will also give his remarks during the conference.According to the website, the CELA Annual Conference receives more than 400 attendees from around the world.
