ATLANTA, Ga. - jon Benson + associates, Inc. recently announced that Michael Browning, Landscape Architect, has joined the firm. In his 23 years of experience, Michael has been involved in public and private sector work. He has previously worked in the Atlanta area, and for the past eight years has been a principal with his own practice in the middle Georgia area. In addition, he was also a principal with a private Macon landscape architecture and engineering firm.

Michael has worked on a diverse range of project types, including office, retail, resort, recreational and community planning. He has been involved in project development from initial planning, through conceptual design and detailed contract documentation to post-construction evaluation. Some of his notable private work has included planning and landscape design for a proposed GM regional auto distribution facility, several regional mall interior landscapes in Atlanta, Pennsylvania and Florida, and numerous healthcare design projects. In the public and institutional sector, Michael has managed and produced projects such as the central business district streetscape and historic courthouse grounds revitalization in Jackson, Georgia. He also designed the Alzheimer's Garden at Central City Park in Macon, Georgia, which was a Government Category Winner in the 2000 Keep Georgia Beautiful Awards.
