Outdoor structure manufacturer Backyard America recently entered into a licensing agreement that will allow it to develop and market high quality, stylish outdoor shade structures from the Brown Jordan Structures collection.

"Our partnership represents an ideal opportunity for us and our customers," says Chris Carmicle, president of the collection's manufacturer. "Through the years, we have continued to explore new ways to create functional and inspiring outdoor settings."

According to his company, pergolas and other shade structures have traditionally been custom built on the job site, which has limited the material selection and quality of the finished product to whatever is available locally, and construction techniques that can be performed in the field.

The licensing company focuses on crafting premium pergola kits from low maintenance materials to provide a product that is of high quality and easy to assemble on site. The newly licensed collection offers simple-to-assemble outdoor shade structures with innovative designs, style and functionality.

The collection will initially be offered in two all-aluminum models, each in three popular sizes. The Serenity Solis model will have a tensioned fabric shade canopy, while the Serenity model is provided with sleek aluminum airfoil rafters. Both models can be finished in a selection of the company's Ultra Fuse powder coat finishes to coordinate with their outdoor furniture line. The shade canopy will be available in a selection of five popular Suncloth???(R)???AE???? fabrics.

"Never before has this level of refinement and design flexibility existed in the outdoor structures category," said Ernie Sears, president and CEO of the licensing company. "We feel that the (new) product line will offer designers of outdoor living environments an entirely new set of tools to add visual interest and functional shade to their projects."
