MONTCLAIR, N.J. - EDAW Inc. recently announced the appointment of Marcia Babalas as Director of Design for the firm's northeast office. Babalas has more than 20 years of professional experience as a landscape designer. She comes to EDAW after managing her own west coast firm, Melendez-Babalas Inc.

Her projects spanned the film industry, major commercial developments and public sector projects surrounding the Los Angeles metropolitan area, such as projects for Paramount Studios, Disney Studios, Warner Brothers Studio, as well as projects for the Los Angeles Coliseum, Paseo Colorado, Pasadena, Del Mar Plaza and the AMGEN Corporate Headquarters. Babalas received her Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia, and her Bachelor of Arts from Old Dominion College.
