ASLA Announced 2021 Honors Recipients

Honors Recipients are Selected by Board of Trustees

ASLA announced their highest award, Honors Recipients listed. Five honorary members were also included for their notable service as a non-landscape professional.

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) announced their 2021 Honors recipients as selected by ASLA's Board of Trustees. The Honors are the highest recognition ASLA offers.


ASLA also announced the induction of five honorary members which includes Congressman Peter DeFazio, Executive Director of the ASLA Southern California Chapter, Vicki Phillipy, president and CEO of Groundwork Bridgeport, Christina Smith, Senior Director of Programs and Communication at the Landscape Architecture Foundation, Heather Whitlow, and invaluable part of the landscape architecture profession in the State of Alabama, Rhea Williams.

Since 1899, only 237 honorary members of ASLA have been inducted. The award is in place to honor non-landscape architecture professionals for their notable service.
